I would no longer say I\u2019m \u201cexcited\u201d for 2020, but rather I\u2019m<br \/>\nhesitantly peeking out through my finger-covered eyes as if it were a horror<br \/>\nmovie.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, this year has been\u2026the only thing that comes to mind is a dumpster fire.<br \/>\nHere\u2019s the thing though, just because the dumpster is on fire doesn\u2019t mean that<br \/>\nthere isn\u2019t anything valuable in the dumpster. This year has had some pretty<br \/>\niconic moments.<\/p>\n<p>We, as a culture, have had some very necessary conversations about white<br \/>\nsupremacy. Dog adoptions have increased. Our favorite movie and television<br \/>\ncasts have gotten together for zoom calls. People have shown remarkable<br \/>\ncreativity from inspiring works of art to quarantine memes. Let\u2019s take all<br \/>\npandemic silver linings we can get!<\/p>\n<p>This is basically all to say that the Culture and Wellness section of the Brackety-<br \/>\nAck will be celebrating cuisine, art, philosophies, music, and approaches to<br \/>\nwellness that have and will help us cope in 2020 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Also, wear your masks. Don\u2019t throw or attend large gatherings.
