With that, comes plenty of time to catch up with your second cousins who you only see once or twice a year. Once you get past the typical \u201chow\u2019s your semester going?\u201d and \u201care you ready for exams?\u201d questions, they\u2019ve gotten you all buttered up to get to the real stuff- your relationship status. You know it\u2019s coming, and here are some of the most likely asked questions and how to respond:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>1. Question<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cSooo, are there any cute boys\/girls in your life?\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019re thinking:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cWell of course there are! There\u2019s one who sits in the center table of Commons, one who I always see at the gym, one who lives on my hall, and one I sit beside in class.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What to say:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cSure there are, but none that really stand out to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2. Question<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cWhen are you going to bring someone home for Thanksgiving?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019re thinking: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYikes. Am I at that age where it\u2019s expected for me to bring a plus one to Thanksgiving? When did that happen? Who will little cousin Jack sit with at the kid\u2019s table?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What to say:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cWhenever I find someone worthy of meeting you guys.\u201d This will make them go, \u201cAww you\u2019re so sweet,\u201d and hopefully change the subject. Unless they say\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>3. Question<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cYou are so sweet and have the nicest smile. I\u2019m sure you have dates lined up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019re thinking:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cWell, Gramma, unfortunately now a days, it takes more than a nice smile.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What to say:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cThank you, Gramma. By the way, I love the green beans you made.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>4. Question<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cDid you know your uncle and I met in college and got married the summer after we graduated?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019re thinking: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOf course I know that because you have told me every year since I got to college, and now I\u2019m past the age where you guys met, and there\u2019s only a little bit of pressure.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What to say:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cYeah, I think you told me that one year. That\u2019s nice!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be prepared for questions from your dear Aunt Gabby, cousin Max, and lots from your Gramma.
