For some, Chef Matt\u2019s creations are well worth the wait; for others, not so much. If you are like me and find that you don\u2019t want to wait half an hour for grilled chicken, then you shouldn\u2019t. With the variety of options Commons has you don\u2019t have to settle on what is pre-made for you. There are plenty of ways for you to embrace your inner chef while in Commons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s begin with a simple quesadilla. The Commons quesadilla is a known hack to some but will still shock a senior.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to the deli bar. Grab a tortilla from up top.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next you head over to the salad bar. Put some of that nice shredded cheddar on there.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now here is where you can get creative, depending on what you see at the salad line, the sandwich bar, whatever is available that day you can add to the quesadilla.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Personally, I like to take the steak from the salad bar and put a few strips on top of the cheese.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. Next the condiments. You can put any sauce you want. I like to drizzle a bit of ranch on top and some siracha\u2014an attempt to imitate the Taco Bell jalapeno ranch sauce.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5. Fold the tortilla in half and pinch it around the edges and hope that all the filling stays inside. (I press it flat with my hand to get it as flat as possible)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6. The final step is taking it over to the panini press. Throw it on the grill and then press it again, making sure not to spill the ingredients onto the grill. Give it a solid 3-4 minutes on the first side, flip it over, and give it another 2 minutes and give it a final press.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7. Grab some dipping sauce and enjoy.
