With energy, charm and talented performances, Theatre RC\u2019s spring musical-comedy is certain to have won over far more than just nine spectators. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt was really good,\u201d said sophomore Madison Bourne, \u201cI could tell they put a lot of work into it.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ryan Bennett, Kojiro Leonard, Isabella Moritz, Hayley Ramsey and Eric Lee starred as a group of friends trying to create a musical that will make it to Broadway. They must wrestle with questions such as: What qualifies as \u201cart\u201d? Is it worth sacrificing your uniqueness to please the majority? And is a musical about writing a musical even possible? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c[title of show]\u201d proved that yes, indeed, it is\u2014and not only possible, but entertaining and heartwarming too, filled with self-referential humor and memorable musical numbers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI loved that the relationships I got to form with the other actors mirrored the relationships that are formed between the characters,\u201d said Moritz, \u201cAnd, of course, the craziest experience ever [was] when the writer and one of the leads in the show came to a closing night, and we all just cried.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During \u201c[title of show]\u201d\u2019s eventful run, these talented performers gave audiences a rare behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating any original piece of art, with all the tears, laughs, frustrations and triumphs that come along with it. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Written by Charissa Roberson \u201cI\u2019d rather be nine people\u2019s favorite thing than a hundred people\u2019s ninth favorite thing,\u201d sang the cast of \u201c[title of show],\u201d which debuted on April 4, 2019.
