{"id":4120,"date":"2018-12-01T14:37:45","date_gmt":"2018-12-01T19:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.pages.roanoke.edu\/?p=4120"},"modified":"2018-12-01T14:37:45","modified_gmt":"2018-12-01T19:37:45","slug":"rc-season-openers-recap-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=4120","title":{"rendered":"RC Season Openers Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Written by Ian Gillen<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Men\u2019s Basketball<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Men\u2019s Basketball season is underway with six home games coming up in the month of December. \u00a0The team opened up conference play on Sunday with a dominant win over Hampden-Sydney, 93-48, and they continued their winning streak on Tuesday when the team took over Southern Virginia, 79-76.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Women\u2019s Basketball<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Lady Maroons started their season out with a win on the road before they returned to Salem to carry out their season. \u00a0The team came back from the holiday break ready to play as the ladies dominated Methodist on Sunday, 78-33. On Wednesday the team fell to Guilford, 61-53, in a close game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Swimming<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Swimming teams continued their spectacular seasons at Emory and Henry with the men winning all 14 of the events, and the women winning 10 of the 14. \u00a0Each team remains undefeated with the bulk of the regular season now completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Track<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Track and Field teams will begin their seasons this weekend in the Cregger Center as they will host to an array of schools. \u00a0Events will be held Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1, so come support the team get off to a strong start.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Written by Ian Gillen Men\u2019s Basketball The Men\u2019s Basketball season is underway with six home games coming up in the month of December. \u00a0The team opened up conference play on Sunday with a dominant win over Hampden-Sydney, 93-48, and they continued their winning streak on Tuesday when the team took over Southern Virginia, 79-76.
