{"id":4117,"date":"2018-12-01T14:36:58","date_gmt":"2018-12-01T19:36:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.pages.roanoke.edu\/?p=4117"},"modified":"2018-12-01T14:36:58","modified_gmt":"2018-12-01T19:36:58","slug":"professional-football-report-nfl-teams-fight-for-a-playoff-spot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brackety-ack.com\/?p=4117","title":{"rendered":"Professional Football Report: NFL Teams Fight for A Playoff Spot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Written by Ian Gillen<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As the weather gets colder across the nation, stakes get higher and the teams get hotter in the National Football League. \u00a0The Saints and Rams continue their domination of the league while the Jets and Cardinals continue their fall into mediocrity and top draft picks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The NFC divisional races are, for the most part, wrapped up aside from the eternally chaotic East. \u00a0Thanks to the disappointment that has been the Eagles\u2019 Super Bowl hangover, and win over the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day, the Cowboys have stumbled their way into the top spot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The AFC, on the other hand, have divisional to make NASCAR proud. \u00a0\u00a0The North, South and West all have teams within two games at the top of the standings. \u00a0The other Los Angeles team find themselves one game back of the youthful Chiefs and Pittsburgh sits one game ahead of the Ravens. \u00a0A Monday night victory has the Texans set up nicely for a playoff spot as they look ahead to the Browns in order to continue their win streak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The battle for the number one draft pick is also heating up in the always embarrassing fashion. \u00a0San Francisco, Arizona and Oakland all sit at two wins.
